So here we are. My first post and one of my first paintings in oil. I'm using water mixable oils as I piant in my kitchen and the turps was killing us all.

- Art is in my blood. My mother and many of my aunts and cousins are artists, so there's been no escaping it's influence in my life. I am a self taught, self doubting artist and hungry to learn. Previously I have worked mainly in pen and ink and in watercolor however more recently I decided to concentrate on working in oil. I'm emulating the daily painter movement. An ever growing number of painters who are committed to the discipline of creating one small painting every day or almost every day. I paint a painting most every day or other day and it's my plan to post here frequently over the coming months. Lets see how it goes..
